Homework for January 9, 2012

In class last Thursday, we started working on your individual essays about pressures of being a college student. In class, you all did prewriting to generate some ideas for your essays and you wrote a working thesis statement that expresses your focus, i.e. main idea of the essay. Some of you wrote informal outlines for your essay. (see pp.77, 80 in the textbook)

Your task is to write the first draft of your essay and e-mail it to me before January 9. I'll check your essays, give you feedback and return the drafts to you on January 10 so that you can work on the second draft in class.

You all have worked very hard so far this semester, so it is now time to take some rest　and enjoy this holiday season.
